Description
• STD is a ceiling mounted reinforced diffuser intended for supply or extract air in e.g. cells or detention facilities where fixed installation is desired.
• The diffuser is designed to meet the Swedish recommendations for properties with special safety requirements.
• The diffuser has a robust design with a 6 mm perforated front plate as standard.
• The diffuser is normally mounted in a cleanable commissioning box type TK (supply air) or FK (extract air) that contains measuring hoses and a balancing damper insert.
• STD can be used without a commissioning box. Commissioning must then be made with a separate damper.
• The supply air version can be delivered with 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-way distribution (specified when ordering). Distribution pattern must be specified at order placement, otherwise the producct is supplied for 4-way distribution.
• For spaces requiring increased security or premises with a higher security classification, the complementary product S2D (2 mm perforation) is available as an alternative.

1-way
*1) If no distribution pattern is specified, the product is supplied for 4-way distribution.

Ø160
Accessories
• MN: Socket/Spigot, duct extension/converter for installation with plenum in suspended ceilings.
• AP: Air deflector for 1-, 2- or 3-way distribution pattern. (only supply air)
Commissioning box/plenum – TK, supply air

• TK – 1 step*2):
125-100
160-125
200-160
250-200

Commissioning box/plenum – FK, extract air
(Ø dim. diffuser side-duct side, mm)
• FK – 2 step*2):
200-125
250-160
315-200
*2) The term step refers to the size ratio between the box's connection dimensions:
– 1 step = A difference of 1 duct dimension between the box's diffuser side connection and duct side connection, e.g. 160-125.
– 2 step = = A difference of 2 duct dimensions between the box's diffuser side connection and duct side connection, e.g. 160-100.
– 0 step = = No difference between the box's diffuser side connection and duct side connection, e.g. 160-160.
• STD: Frame and front made of galvanized steel sheet, powder-coated with white RAL standard color.
• Commissioning box: Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, internally insulated with washable and surface-coated sound absorber made of 100% recycled, non-allergenic, hydrophobic PET plastic material.
• The product is designed for fixed ceiling installation.
• The diffuser is normally installed in a cleanable commissioning box / plenum type TK (supply air) or FK (extract air), which contains measuring hoses and a balancing damper insert.
• For supply air applications, the commissioning box can be installed directly after a bend. When installed after a T-piece, a straight section of 4 x the duct diameter is required for mesuring accuracy.
• For extract air applications, the commissioning box can be installed directly before a bend.
• STD can also be used without a commissioning box. If the unit is installed without a box, commissioning must be made with a separate balancing damper in the connecting duct.
• When using an balancing damper with a measuring function, commissioning must be carried out with the unit front fully assembled.
• The commissioning box is connected to a circular duct.
• The diffuser is connected directly to the commissiong box.
• The connection between the diffuser and the commissiong box can be extended with a circular piece of duct. If the connection exceeds 500 mm, an extension of the measuring hose and damper cords is required.
• If necessary, the MN accessory can be used, which extends the connection by 40 mm.
• The diffuser body is secured to the ceiling or wall with 6 mm wood screws with a flat countersunk head.
• Air deflector AP (accessory), is installed in the spring-loaded center pin of the diffuser front.
• Once the diffuser body has been secured, the airflow is balanced.
• When installing in premises with security requirements, the front of the unit should not be finally assembled until commissioning has been completed.
• The diffuser front is riveted with 5 mm stainless steel rivets and additionally secured with 6 mm flat countersunk head wood screws as deemed necessary.
• Rivets are included in the delivery, other mounting materials are not included.
