Fire Resistance Classes
• The products are type-approved for fire resistance class E 120.
• Products of type XXX30 achieve fire resistance class EI 30 with a 50 mm safety distance*2).
• Products of type XXX60 achieve fire resistance class EI 60 when the required safety distances are met, depending on product size. See the operation and maintenance instructions*) for details.
Installation
• The products are intended for installation in a circular duct.
• During installation, suspension supports that wrap around the outer casing must be used.
• The product must not be mounted solely suspended at the connection points.
• Provide a minimum straight duct length of 4 × ØD upstream of the attenuator to ensure the stated acoustic performance.
• During installation, the applicable safety distances must be observed for the fire resistance classification to be maintained.
• See the operation and maintenance documents*) for more information on installing the product.
*1) Operation and maintenance instructions are provided in a separate document, ...DU-SE/...DV-DK – Operation and Maintenance (pdf), which can be downloaded from our product pages.
*2) Safety distance refers to the applicable requirements for the minimum distance between the silencer and evacuating persons or combustible materials.
